18 is an arbitrary number, but it ensures that you are judicious, especially with a band that a big back catalogue.

Try to sequence it properly too - be it chronological or just what sounds good in that order. (i.e. not just half of one album stapled onto half of another album)

This could be a decent way to introduce people to new bands, or bands that you are just madly passionate about.
