Really though, they are actually such an underrated band. i think they've never been accepted amongst proper indie circles due to the fact that they basically position themselves as part of the uk underground punk scene and haven't had much commercial impact.

despite that, Mush is one of the most beautiful punk/pop/folk/rock albums i've ever heard. its just blissfully fantastic. imagine if tom waits was the singer of the replacements, and how good that would sound, and you've got something like the sound of leatherface at their best. andy stubbs truly is an underappreciated genius.
