All Is Right With The World Again
I's momentarily sidetracked with romance. Meh. Remind me about that sometime. Later.
OK, so one of the stacks of records in front me needs to be heard by me. But I'm like yer old lady who's got 84 pairs of shoes. Has she worn the 23rd pair she got? No. Did she absolutely need that 84th pair. Yep. Cunt.
So the stack of records here...in this room...needs to be sorted by some sort of preference.
You guys failed miserably with my date...OK I failed miserably wtf! ...but now I need mo' better help here.
Best and Worst From oR's Yet Unheard Discs!
And the nominees are:
The Presidents of the United States - s/t
DFA1979 - Trunk Nose From Above; I'm typing and listening; i shake my head wondering how yer guys live reviews are mixed at best; this is good shite!
22 - 20s - s/t
Dino jr - Bug; Haven't heard this one in over ten years
Sleater Kinney - the Woods; I gots a good feeling here
The Warlocks - Surgery
Smashing Pumpkins - Machina of the Gods; ain't there two of these Machinas? I might already have this.. or both. Hmm.
Supergrass - In The Money; I Should Coco is great and Life on something is sorta meh.
Doves - Some Cities; The tracks I've heard on the radio are decidedly meh. But they keep getting good reviews.
Dillinger Escape Plan - Calculating Infinity
Aladdin Sane Deluxe - Oh. I think maybe I have heard this one. hehe.
JAMC - Automatic; ditto.
The Stooges - Funhouse; double ditto.
Portatastic - Bright Ideas; no fucking clue.
Concrete Blonde - The Essential; I used to love God Is A Bullet.
Ed Harcourt - Here Be Monsters
The Rapture - Out of the Races and onto the Track
Radiohead - OK Computer; from a promise I made earlier in the week...I didn't keep. *shrugs*
Hot Hot Heat - Elevator; good fun band without needing to get excited about?
Rocket From The Crypt - s/t; I bought two a few weeks ago and oR's verdict: RFTC rawk baby!
Sleater Kinney - All Hands On The Bad One; some of their early stuff tend to blur. I might have already listened to this one.
Primal Scream - Sonic Flower Groove
Nirvana - Bleach; doesn't really need to be on this list, it was just next in the stack I'm typing off-a.
PJ Harvey - 4 Track Demos
Wolf Eyes - Dead Hills; Someone guess how many "wolf" bands/artists there are?!
Led Zeppelin III; When I's a kid I loved Immigrant Song and pretty much nothing else here thrilled me. Will it be different twenty years later?
The Greenhorns - East Grand Blues ep; pretty much all I know about them is they opened for White Stripes on nights I didn't go.
Do a good job here cos otherwise I'm liable to go get the bigger stack in the next room. Ha!
