Instead of playing my latest find for the fortieth time, or an old favorite, I decided to break out a new one from the stack of unopened cd's. Sometimes I get crazy like that. I'm like a music daredevil.

I put on French Kicks. My computer tells me it's a five star record. It isn't. Just as I'm about to retreat and play Autolux's Future Perfect or the Ponys' Laced with Romance for the forty-first time, I decide to play Hope of the States' Lost Riots. I'm deathly afraid it's gonna sound like Fall Out Boy. It's not easy being an adrenaline junkie at my age.
