a lovely music selling place, no?
Despite it not being especially cheap buying stuff and having it posted to the UK, it's still great, and today I have purchased 4 cds (to get the best value for money with regards to postage) that I don't think I can buy in the UK. They were:
1. Yasushi Yoshida- Little Grace
Lovely Japanese instrumental stuffs, from the great Noble label. Loved his first album, so am looking forward to this.
2. Misophone- Where has it gone, all the beautiful music of our grandparents? It died with them, that's where it went...
Very long album title. This one I found from it appealing to me from their Best Selling list, and being compared to Efterklang, Beirut, and A Hawk And A Hacksaw. Have downloaded four of their songs which I have been listening to all evening.
3. Erik Enoksson- With Its Dark Tail Curled 'Round The Garage
Pre-ordered this one, on the same label as the above band. Plus I downloaded an older song of his, and recognised it as the song that Peter Broderick got everyone at Bush Hall singing along with Efterklang.
4. Piroth- Prima Ballerina
A pair of Swedish sisters I think. Lovely songs on their myspace convinced me to buy them, along with their nice sale price on dotshop.
So yes, I love the dotshop. Especially as the last three above bands I had not heard of before I visited there earlier today. Plus, dotshop's slogan is Special Music For Special People.
Now I just have to wait for the cds to arrive.
