I've recently acquired this one (Caroline/Virgin, 1996). Who'da thunk Elliott Smith was in a band before his solo stuff? You guys maybe; but I had no idea. For those like me, perhaps reading this is news to you: Heatmiser showcases Smith and buddy Neil Gust in a more traditional indie pop band than the Elliott Smith we think of today. It's a bloody fantastic record. Smith fans will defo dig on this. 8/10.
