I'm reading through my own profile cos I've got a superiority complex with my insecurities. And I can't tell you how many times I said to myself, "How in the fuck did I come up with that number of stars?" Everybody knows Icarus Line run circles around Idlewild...except me of course! And the only thing I can figure is I gave the Rolling Stones 4.5 stars by completely ignoring everything they did after 1976. But I specifically remember downgrading Siouxsie's score precisely because I didn't ignore her later stuff. Bowie I ignored the bad stuff. Sonic Youth I didn't....

What sorta dilemmas did you guys have rating bands and how did you resolve this to come up with a specific number?
