Met Mark Burgess in Hamburg, Germany
Had a blast in Hamburg from August 2nd to August 4th. Actually met Mark Burgess as my German friend, Andreas, had his mobile number and Mark knows me through the Chameleons web site.
We dranked and talked from 9pm until dawn about tons of stuff. He's a cool dude and a first class person that treats anyone that comes to contact with him like another friend.
I lost my wallet, and I called him and he let me use his computer at his flat to contact my credit card companies and stop payment activity. While I was a stressed out wreck about losing my wallet, he was nice enough to make me a cup of coffee.
I swear, he's the coolest bloke in town. That day, on August 3rd, we all marched to AOL field to watch Manchester City play Hamburg in a goodwill football match. Mark was sitting close by singing various Manchester City chants...we drank more that night and hung out a Reeperbahn, a world renowned red-light District in Hamburg.
The highlight was screaming and singing along with Mark, Andreas, and two other Mancunian mates (rob and brian) "anarchy in the UK" by the Sex Pistols which was being blasted at the pub we were in.
Cannot wait to see the band play in San Francisco.
It's great when a band is more like friends then stuck up egotistical stars often tend to be like full of attitude and shallowness.
Cheers to Mark and the Chameleons.
