Audioslave, Manchester
Wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I did, mainly due to the new album being pretty dull, but it was amazing. They got the new stuff out the way early, then started with the 'covers'... I was thinking they'd do maybe one or two Rage or Soundgarden songs, but it was like a 50/50 split! They did Spoonman, Flower, Bulls On Parade, Sleep Now In The Fire and Killing In The Name as a full band, Cornell did a really good job of the Rage vocals, which surprised me a bit (the crowd were shouting along so loud that it wouldn't have mattered what he sounded like anyway). The first part of the encore was just Chris and his guitar, he did Black Hole Sun and Fell On Black Days (!)... if they'd just played Audioslave stuff Im sure I'd have been a bit underwhelmed, but, like I said, it was amazing.
