a question about smiths song 'cemetry gates'

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 20:12, 3 March '08

right.. so.....apologies if this is a well known fact and im hopelessly lagging behind in smiths knowledge...or...if it is just blinding bloody obvious and this is a stupid question (which it seems as im about to type it)

is this deliberate because it represents someone nicking a word without knowing how to pronounce it...and so mirroring the subject of the song...??

im sure it must be deliberate and not just a mis-pronounciation but ive never spoken about it to anyone else...

does anyone know what im going on about?
