Hair in the Ointment
Oceanrain type post here:
Everyone must have experianced this, your listening to an album but there is just one track which is sticking out like a sore thumb.
The rest of the album is ace but there is one track which is either innapropiate or just frankly a bit crap.
Often in my view this can either turn a great album into a very good one or you become conditioned to when to use the skip button.
My personal ones are:
The Fall - This Nations Saving Grace - The rest of the album is awesome but Rollin Danny is just crap and M.E.S just sounds disintrested. I know it's a B-Side and not on the original album cut but that doesn't save it!
Mclusky - The Difference between me and you is that you're not on fire - Again this is a very good album but the last track support systems is not very good and way, way too long.
Blood Brothers - Burn Piano Island Burn - The track I know where the Canaries and Crows go is just one track too many and is too similar to the other tracks. I find that this stodges the album up and always skip it as it's so much better then. Again the rest of the album is ace.
Right then, any of you want to share similar experiances?
