Kasabian to record world cup anthem

KASABIAN are planning to write and record ENGLAND’s official 2006 WORLD CUP song.
According to The Sun, the band were talked into the project by Tim Lovejoy, presenter of Sky Sports’ ’Soccer AM’.
The FA have reportedly given the idea their blessing and work on the song has already begun.
Kasabian will be following in the footsteps of New Order, Fat Les and Frank Skinner, David Baddiel and The Lightning Seeds, who have recorded football anthems for the England.
The band are yet to comment about their involvement.
