After listening to it for the fourth time today. I realise I might be in love with Neutral Milk Hotel's 'In The Aeroplane Over The Sea' album. The weird thing is, even though I'd count myself as a huge music fan, I never heard of this at the time it was released, in fact I 'acquired' it as part of a group of stuff including Sunny Day Real Estate, gave it a cursory listen then passed it over in favour of something else.
So, the question is, are there any other lost classics out there? Older albums that you might have loved but never got much press, hype etc?
