Punk rock was really about a 3 year period of explosive music - probably a big fuck you Margaret Thatcher and AOR - before it morphed into the post-punk bands a la Joy Division. At the time the punks were just that; today they show the Rock 'n Swindle in Hermes Rodeo Drive. Go figure.
