I bought Deserter's Songs yesterday. I dunno. The Flaming Lips in slo-motion. One song had an All The Young Dudes melody. This was supposed to be the best record of 1998? Made me wanna put on The Soft Bulletin and I ain't even all that crazy about FL. The album did improve with succeeding tracks, however.
