pipettes on radio 1
I'm excited about this though I've just realised I won't be in to hear it. Someone mp3 it!
-------
Just a quick reminder - The Pipettes' debut Radio One FM live session can be
heard tomorrow night (Tuesday 15) from 11pm!
Becki, Julia and Rose have recorded four songs especially for Huw Stephens'
show, and they'll be beamed across the nation tomorrow. You can also listen
online, wherever you are in the world, by logging onto www.bbc.co.uk/radio1
Huw has always been very close to all our hearts. He was the very first person
to play "I Like A Boy In Uniform" in public - over the PA at Reading Festival
back in August. Good lad!
Our session for him also marks the final performance on keyboards by bazzin'
Marc Beatty, who has now left The Cassettes to concentrate on his Tenderfoot
and Brakes projects. Our hearfelt thanks and very best wishes go out to him.
His place on the piano stool has been taken by Seb "Beppe" Falcone, who
received a baptism of fire on the recent Go! Team tour. He's doing just fine...
More news to follow - including some really special live dates for your diary!
In the meantime, we hope you'll tune in - and tell us what you reckon to the
tunes. You can reach us at thepipettes@gmail.com or visit the website at
www.thepipettes.co.uk
See y'all soon!
