the grapevine tells me that the strokes are close to being dropped by their record label in the usa. they are a pretty big band in the uk, its inconcieveable that they'd be dropped over here.

i think the question that needs to be asked is 'why do americans have such fuckin crap taste?' its all rap, country and 'kill your parents/death/insect music' like the slipknot etc.

the bravery and kings of leon are apparently a non entity over there also... whether or not you think they deserve recognition is another matter.
