Well, the other day I looked up the lyrics to Somebody Told Me and discovered that it's not 'Somebody told me you had a boyfriend who looked like a girlfriend but I had a bad view, wary of last year...'

It is '..looked like a girlfriend that I had in February of last year...'

It all makes sense now.
