so, i read somewhere that some of the tracks on the new hella LP sound just like the mars volta. i assumed maybe it was a lazy comparison by somebody who hadn't really thought much about the review. then i listned to 'ungrateful dead' from the new LP. it's on their myspace:

i stand corrected. the sonic likeness is quite something. i quite like the song, but then i like the mars volta, and i like hella.

i wish i'd seen them play the 'hold your horse is' stuff though.
