Opinion on Mr Manson's relevance to a murder case
I don't know if you have already had this discussion but it's something that's annoying me just now.
The prosecution in the Jodie Jones case showed bits of Marilyn Manson videos to the jury because they wanted to make a link between them and the fact that the kid on trial bought the cd/dvd the week before from Sainsbury’s. This annoys me. It’s like something Kilroy would say. It seems to go right back to the old cliché that rock n roll is music of the devil. Fck sake, have we not moved on at all from the 60s
If that kid is fckd up and killed Jodie then it has nothing to do with Manson. Try looking at other things (although I’m not pointing the finger at one specific target here) like the way he was brought up or lack thereof, or perhaps every day society that we all contribute to. What about a fckd up illegal war with dead bodies on our TV screens like clockwork every day at 6pm ?
Anyone anything else to add on this one? I would be interested to here if anyone can argue a degree of responsibility for Manson.
