A serious question here

I'm thinking of getting a bass on ebay as it seems so much cheaper. However I'm dead paranoid about trusting that much money to someone who could easily fuck me over. I've heard stories of people recieving cases with bricks in.

Has anyone ordered an instrument of ebay? Did it arrive in good condition? did you have to wait long to recieve it?
any other info would be appreciated.
