Bowie - Space Oddity circa '75. Great songs work, period.
Smashing Pumpkins - Landslide. Stevie Nicks gave us so much shite... and then she somehow writes a fucking brilliant song. Go figure.
Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You. Courtney Taylor-Taylor deserves special credit for amending his name to mock to Gloria Steinham women who won't trade their last name for the ring. And they do a very cool acoustic version of this one.
