Not A Good Idea
U2 - Beat on the Brat (Bono apparently found some terrific drugs on his last UNICEF African visit.)
Ian Mac - Cockles & Mussels (Bunnyfans, don't work too hard trying to track this one down.)
Jah Wobble - English Roots (the famed bass player stuck me with medieval folk music, to wit I blame you guys... someone shoulda warned me!)
Bowie - Let's Dance (upteen genius records, then this... never quite recovered)
Stones - post Some Girls (they *were* f**ing great then, hmm?!)
Ian Curtis, Kurt Cobain et al - suicide is not the answer kids
Rod Stewart post Faces - nuff said
Axl Rose bustin' up G'NR - nuff said
Lennon/McCartney solo careers - nuff said
Van Halen - great first record then never even a decent song afterwards
MVB - I know almost nothing about them, except that they're gone and that sucks
The Cult - Electric (yeah, you hit the big time with American flavored hard rock, but then what? I'll tell ya. Shite music.)
Blondie - Rapture (being the first white rappers will not be remembered as a good thing.)
Captain Sensible's (Damned) solo career - almost as pathetic as David Johanssen's (NY Dolls) attempt which was almost as pathetic as David Lee Roth's attempt.
Siouxsie - post Kiss in the Dreamhouse (the Banshees do *not* do poprock well!)
-corrollary to that, The Creatures - interesting concept, mediocre results.
That'll do for now. How 'bout you guys? What were some of yer outstanding musical 'misdirections'?
