Aereogramme - Seclusion
I love this band.
Sleep and Release was my record of '03 and after getting this new EP in the post today, I can say with some confidence that this is the release of '04 so far. I will be a very happy man if something betters this.
Absolutely mind blowing. The 11 minute epic 'The Unravelling' is awesome. The opening track starts procedings with a really cool upbeat feel and then 'Dreams and Bridges' comes in with it's oooh-it's-nice-but-you-know-the-shit's-gonna-hit-the-fan-at-the-end vibe (and boy does it do that!)
The only drawback for me is the Flaming Lips cover - it works, it sounds fantastic actually but it doesn't really fit the mood of the EP.
Buy it though. Immediately, if not sooner.
