There's an All-Dayer going on in Bristol this Saturday!:
THE PULL THE STRINGS & DECORUM 1ST ANNUAL WINTER EXPOSITION: A CUBE MICROPLEX ALL-DAY EVENT
The Cube, Bristol
Saturday 29th November
Doors 3pm (first band on 5pm)
£8 advance, £10 on the door (tickets available from Here Shop and Bristol Ticket Shop)
This November you are cordially invited to attend the 1st Annual Decorum and Pull The Strings Winter Expo – the most compelling, genre-spannng barrage of acts to grace the city since Venn.
If you've not been to a Decorum or Pull The Strings event before, this is the one to attend. And it's a bargain at that.
Here's some info on the acts:
Heading up the bill is Brighton's I'M BEING GOOD (who packed out the Cube on their last visit), with their dynamic blend of slanted post rock and art-punk noise.

The criminally underground NOUGHT promise a mammoth slug of outright rock crush. Featuring a member of Guapo, this instrumental 3-piece combine surgical jazz intricacies with balls-out hardcore and avant-rock to ear-bending effect.

Nottingham's SPIN SPIN THE DOGS come wielding joyous, ramshackle garage rants and skewed Beefheartian angular punk.

THE JOE EGAN TRIO will be performing, for the first time, an improvised set featuring two sets of drums (Miles Levin and Nat Butler) and a trumpet. Joe has performed with many of the British free jazz hardcore including Tony Levin, Paul Dunmall, Mick Beck, Mark Sanders and The Birmingham Improvisors Orchestra. He cites his influences as mainly drummers - Tony Bianco, Tony Marsh and Tony Levin.

THE WAILINGEST CATS will continue to force a Shellac-shaped peg through a seedy jazz-noir hole.

The geographically indistinct DRINKS, featuring members of Soe'za and You and the Atom Bomb, wring clean guitars through a kaleidoscope of afrobeat and krautrock.

THE HORSELOOM is ex-Unit Ama man Steve Malley, who plays beautifully wrought English folk pieces, which swing between delicate classical touches and bursts of furious string scratching.

Local heroes FRINGES will deliver their melodic mix of guitars, maths and sax.

The day will be complemented visually by an array of short films from various local artists (inc. Yoshino from Zun Zun Egui) and VHS gold from the Decorum vaults, and will be cemented together with DJs from the Decorum and Pull The Strings stables.
An irresistible reason to leave the house on a bleak November's day...dressed to kill.
Lovely stuff.
