Mercury nominated Fionn Regan, Mystery Jets, Magistrates, Richie Hawtin (Minus, Berlin) with a very exclusive visuals show by Ali Demirel, King Creosote (as a duo), Dirty Projectors, Simian Mobile Disco, and The Notwist are just some of those announced this week, for what will be London’s premiere alternative festival this summer. Just an initial glimpse of what’s to come for all those already daydreaming of fields, bands, sun and cider though, with many more artists and DJ’s to be announced soon…
FIELD DAY will once again take up residence in East London’s Victoria Park on Saturday August 9th, to deliver an unparalleled festival experience in the heart of The City. The very best of London’s promoters and party-starters will once again be joining forces to ensure the festival is bursting at the seams with the very best of all things Leftfield (old and new). Eat Your Own Ears, Adventures In The Beetroot Field, Bugged Out!, Homefires and Bloggers Delight will each take charge of an individual stage, specially selecting artists for each.
For a taster of what’s in the pipeline for August 9th, tune into Channel 4 on Friday April 4th. Forever immortalised on film, FIELD DAY 2007 will air as a 30-minute documentary at midnight.
