I have been to Minehead twice so really I should know the answer to this but I don't.

Basically my friends have the tickets (wegottickets style) so I will only get a wristband when they arrive. Obviously I won't be able to get in to see bands but how far can you get in the venue without a wristband? Can I get in to any of the pubs or will I have to just stand around reception terminally bored until they show up?
