THE DISTRACTION SUMMER ALLDAYER

Distraction are pleased to announce that this year's Distraction supergig will come in the form of The Distraction Summer Alldayer. It will take place on the 5th of August 2006, at The Cluny, Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Eschewing the dreary and magnolia in a placid and safe North-Eastern music 'scene', The Distraction Summer Alldayer will feature 11 hours of diverse musical excursions, future players, and aural innovation. Expect everything from pure summer indie-pop, post-hardcore, ambient meanderings, glacial post-rock, C86 loveliness, apocalyptic sludgerock, surf-pop, improvised electronic drone, earbleeding industrial electronics. . . and a whole lot more. No has-beens, no cover bands, no insipid gash. Accept no imitations.
