Saturday night. 4 bands. DJ til 4am. Life's good.
National Club, a seven piece with strings are The
Concretes meet The Pixies on Love Island, Louis Theroux meets Nelson
Mandela... or they sometimes sound like The Arcade Fire playing through
a yoghurt pot telephone...

Somewhat different are Cause+Affect influenced by Radiohead, Colour Of Fire, Placebo, Mogwai, Rage Against The Machine. Layered with heavy drops and melodic quiet this West London 4 piece are growing in stature live.

Indie melodists Absolutes are heavily influenced by Razorlight and The Kings of Leon and some heavier undercurrents and a nod to the ska of The Specials. Try and beat a path to the front when they are on if you can get through the masses.
The Bessingbys are more assured than er The More Assureds and have a happy go lucky immediacy that paints smiles on. Not unlike a southern Arctic Monkeys there is no pretension here just some rollicking rock n roll. Party on.
DJ from 1130pm playing indie, ska, soul and funk floor fillers.
£5 entry. Or £4 with a print out of this.
The Good Ship, 289 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7JR
