Lords
Formed by members of Wolves! (of Greece), Reynolds and Twinkie in 2003, Lords (Lord Philippe Jean Welding - Guitass, Triumphant Vocalisations, Lord Elvin Beetham Wallace – Drummage, Lord Christophe Gordon Sumlin – Bassar) belong to a new school of bands that ignore the old rock rulebook. Who says you need a bass player? The secret Lords amps generate enough bass for 3 bands. Your booty will not go unshaken. Neither will your party spirit fail to be roused.
"Occupying the rarely explored middle ground between Thin Lizzy and Captain Beefheart, Nottingham trio Lords are among a new wave of English grunge bands (see also: Part Chimp, Hey Colossus) who apply extreme volume to jazz-like intricacy" - Uncut

Quack Quack
This three piece instrumental, instrument swapping band was formed in Spring 2005. The music of Quack Quack isn’t easy to categorize, but take a shared spirit of improvisation and a healthy disregard for well trodden musical paths and you’re moving in the right direction. Like the great rhythm sections of James Brown, Africa 70, Can and Led Zeppelin, Quack Quack operate right next to your heartbeat and your footsteps. They understand the importance of rhythm and use it to get the good chemicals flowing. This is music for dancing and smiling.
"This minimal trio have conjured up sublime trance-like pop songs, chock-full of bubbly and fizzing analogue synths, badass krautpoppin', busting and droning basslines, and smoother-than-smooth cool cat jazz rhythms." Diskant
"It is no exaggeration to say these guys could be the best band in the UK" - Tasty Fanzine

Lower Forty-Eight
San Francisco hardcore, mathrock, punk and emo trio Lower Forty-Eight are touring the UK promoting their latest album, 'Apertures'; a personal and sometimes harrowing account of human conflict and moral struggle, set to music that is heavy and intense, but also beautiful and melodic; a skilful fusion of metal, hardcore and indie-rock that highlights the band's superb grasp of composition and structure.
"Though it's the frenzy surrounding garage rock that's grabbing the headlines, the stabbing dynamicism of post-rock minted by the likes of Godspeed You! Black Emperor is recruiting members at an equally fast rate, and mutating even quicker. San Francisco's Lower Forty-Eight are ostensibly the latest additions to the gang... dizzying, aneurysm-inducing guitars and inevitable, exploding drum and vocal attack, hotwired with searing passion that still manages to deliver a sucker punch to the neck" LOGO magazine

The Mockingbird Nightmare
Kent 4-piece "The Mockingbird Nightmare" play emo-tinged post-hardcore that will appeal to fans of Pilot To Gunner and the much-missed Bear Vs Shark, not to mention Fugazi and The Mars Volta.
Definitely, and by far, one of the best of the approximately 8 million bands to ask us for gigs via MySpace.
