Club Motherfucker Presents:
Paradise Island
Paradise Island is the solo project of Jenny (lead vocals, Erase Errata) and was started over ten years ago. Here we see her abandon the 'hyperactive pop music kinetically spat out by her other main musical project', in order to explore and create with the barest elements of solo musical experimentation. The project has been described as haunting, intimate and unavoidably intense, the starting point being the dark, psychedelic sound of 1960s San Francisco.Paradise Island has toured throughout the country, playing shows with such fellow travelers as The Gossip, XBXRX, Devendra Barnhart, Tracy & the Plastics, Gravytrain, Cobra Killer, Ted Leo, King Cobra, El Guapo, Christina Billotte, and Dynasty. Hoyston's live shows are spontaneous and surprising, ranging from delicate acoustic sets to hour-long noise skronks, from sharp and danceable electro beats to emotive ballads, from sober quips to drunken, blazing ramblings.
Romanteek
A dynamic duo and a band with a mission. Here to bring the love. How will they do it? With bass heavy dance jams and smooth songs with soul. Why do they do it? Because they care. Ruby has long been a big voice on the queer underground scene in america's pacific northwest. Formerly of Romantic Retard Nation, she is joined here by the fabulous LeMatt on the guitar and electronic beat production.Romanteek will delight you with both live instrumentation and booming disco beats to knock you into a dance attack. With a sound so uniquely romantic it is often asked, Where are they from,Europe?! Nah-uh, Romanteek - they come from the Land of Love
Theoretical Girl
Who's this little girl with the hotpants and electric guitar, just stepped out of the silver screen, she seems not real with her mechanical dance, she is clockwork, a doll. She is Theoretical Girl and she rocks and don't give a damn. She don't need no band either. She's got it mastered on backing tracks that penetrate your brain all stripped down with thudding bass. She doubles up guitar riffs giving a chiming effect. It's aggravating and I like it..
This stylish chick has some classy vignettes in her post punk box of delights."- LOU PSYCHE - ARTROCKER
