Since 2001, AUDIOSCOPE has raised nearly £10,000 for Shelter through live music events, presenting the best in local and national independent music in the process.
Acts who have supported the day by playing in the past include Damo Suzuki, Oxes, The Telescopes, Six By Seven, Pram, Appliance, Electrelane, Comet Gain, Max Tundra and a host of other bands from across the UK and beyond.
AUDIOSCOPE co-organiser Stuart Fowkes said: “We're very excited to be able to present such an amazing line-up in our fifth year. We believe that by supporting Shelter, we can not only raise funds for the charity, but also awareness of the problems of bad housing and homelessness both on a local and a national scale.”
Alan Gosschalk, Director of Fundraising at Shelter, said: “AUDIOSCOPE’s incredible support for Shelter through their fantastic music festivals is hugely appreciated. We're delighted to give our full support to their work, and are looking forward to this year's event!”
Shelter believes everyone should have a home and helps 100,000 people a year fight for their rights, get back on their feet, and find and keep a home. It also tackles the root causes of Britain's housing crisis by campaigning for new laws, policies and solutions.
Tickets to each individual day cost £10 on the door. The event runs from 3.30 pm until 11.00 pm.
