Born just over a year ago, Mourning Birds started working hard from the get go. Gigging, writing and consistently amassing a small but dedicated following on line, and with their unpredictable and furious live sound. They ended 2013 with 'Oh Yeh!' “A great big sack of garage rock squeezed into two glorious minutes.” (BBC).
The aural carnage of 'Oh Yeh incited radio airplay and early support from national and independent media alike. Radio 1's Huw Stephens liked 'Oh Yeh' so much that he played it twice. Back to back.
The band are not resting on their laurels and are honing their live set, writing new material and booking new shows. This year's gigs so far (Central London, Camden and New Cross) have all been busy, buzzy and massively well received.
