Denovali Swingfest Berlin 2014 (Murcof, Skalpel, Greg Haines, Hidden Orchestra + 6 more)
Hello everyone.
We're pleased to finally present you the the main part of the lineup for the second Berlin edition of our experimental music festival DENOVALI SWINGFEST. The festival takes place on two days at the wonderful Radialsystem V and is again a cooperation with UM:LAUT.
We're presenting you 10 acts in total – 4 on Friday and 6 on Saturday. We've invited a special act for day two which we will announce mid February. Please consider that the tickets for day one are limited to 400 seats. They were sold out pretty quickly in 2013.
TICKET PREORDER
From today on you can preorder your ticket for the Berlin edition happening on April 25th and 26th 2013. Both days will take place at the Radialsystem V. The price is 28 Euro for a Friday ticket, 35 Euro for a Saturday ticket and 63 Euro for a festival ticket (due to the high production costs of this Swingfest event there will be no discounted tickets for both days unfortunately). Please consider that the space for day one is limited to 400 seats. You can order your ticket via [ www.denovali.com/swingfest ]

SATURDAY - APRIL 26th 2014 - RADIALSYSTEM V
Special Guest (announced mid February)
:::
:::
TBA
:::
:::
Skalpel (PL)
::: Skalpel's trademark is sampling Polish jazz of the 1960s and the 1970s, constructing their own original vision of contemporary sound, combining what is best in jazz, hip hop and club music but this is pretty much just a very short description of what SKALPEL's eclectic approach to music evolved into over the years.
::: listen: [ www.facebook.com/Skalpel ]
Hidden Orchestra (UK) + Lumen (UK) (special AV concert)
::: special AV concert with a video installation by Lumen
::: cinematic soundscapes with a big sound and wonderful string arrangements; 2 drummers + piano + bass + violin
::: listen: [ www.denovali.com/hiddenorchestra ]
Talvihorros (UK)
: Talvihorros is the UK based composer Ben Chatwin's study of guitar and electronics home-made and vintage electronic equipment are used to loop, process and manipulate improvised material into dense and dark sound collages.
::: listen: [ www.denovali.com/talvihorros ]
John Lemke (GER)
::: Using all kinds of interesting methods of sound design, Lemke fused a myriad of ideas and atmospheres into a unique whole that is stimulating, elegant, and edgy just in the right places. (...) This is refreshing music. One of the very best of 2013, no doubt. (Igloomag)
