Humanfly are going on hiatus. They've spent 12 years making terrifying, hypnotic, groove-filled, repulsive and constantly loud music and their particular flavour of sweaty prog-grind-whateverthefuck-metal will be sorely missed.

This year they released their fourth album “Awesome Science” - the last ever album on the really very good BREW records – and everybody agreed that it's damn special. Going from intricate, staccato post-rock to punishing metal then to ridiculously fun psychedelia and back again, it's probably the best heavy album of the year.

Basically, one of the UK's best metal bands is going away and this will be your last chance to see them in Manchester. It's going to be a delicious/gross spectacle.
