Fri Apr 5 - Owl & Mouse DJ at How Does It Feel To Be Loved? in Brixton
We're back at the Canterbury Arms in Brixton this Friday for another quiet, refined evening of indiepop and northern soul dancing. Our guest DJs this time are Owl & Mouse, who have played HDIF Presents several times but never DJ-ed at the club before. Singer Hannah is a huge fan of Jens Lekman and Talking Heads and Tigercats and the like, so expect a super danceable selection of indiepop and Eighties pop. Hurrah!
Indie song of the week: "Carry On, Carry On" by Edwyn Collins. Brilliant foot-stomping indiepop/northern soul anthem from Edwyn's new album.
Soul song of the week: "Roll Over Beethoven" by The Sonics. Chuck Berry's classic given a good roughing up by the garage rock legends.
