THE SEE SEE:
Less than a year from releasing their debut, The See See return with their second album ‘Fountayne Mountain’ for Dell'Orso. Aligning a brash love of U.S. West Coast psychedelia to latter day European influences (Spacemen 3 particularly) The See See have created a far more dynamic album than their debut, 'Late Morning Light', now that their line up has settled, weaving harmonized laments through McGuinn-esque guitars.
This is a band who have now become a lush sum of their parts. Led by Richard Olson (who previously fronted acid folk rock band Eighteenth Day Of May) this London based group have on this record pooled their influences together to make an album of a perfect two halves, dishing up spun out ballads (Big Wheels, Fix Me Up), alongside euphoric, lazer guided instrumentals (Sunbleached) and ritualistic, daisy-chained rollercoasters (The Day That Was The Day).
Fountayne Mountain will be released on compact disc and through digital formats on Dell'Orso and on limited edition vinyl via our friends at Great Pop Supplement.
"A band that have set themselves the challenge of writing memorable songs in a style of music they already love, and they have achieved it"
- Will Hodgkinson, Mojo
"Channels the classicisms of Love-era LA with La's era Liverpool; the private press country rock of Relatively Clean Rivers with the laconic, wasted drawled vocals of the junked-up 70s"
- Record Collector
"rather delicious. like a nice cheesecake and a glass of chablis"
-Brendan O' Hare, Teenage Fanclub
THE TAMBORINES:
"A heady burst of fuzzed-up guitar pop" The Times
"Insanely catchy chorus + INCREDIBLY LOUD GUITARS = perfect pop music" NME on 'Sally O'Gannon'
"A perfect song for the impending summer weather" Soundblab on 'Black & Blue'
The Tamborines are a fuzz indie rock band which came to being when core duo Lulu Grave and Henrique Laurindo started recording some songs on a 4 track in their own bedroom in West London.
Their live shows have been described as a scalding blast of sculptured noise that best resembles the sweet kiss-punch of The Velvet Underground. Debut album Camera & Tremor follows from critically acclaimed 'Sally O’Gannon / Be Around' released on Sonic Cathedral (UK) and Planting Seeds Records (USA) and '31st Floor/ Come Together' on the band’s own imprint Beat-Mo records.
The Band is currently recording their second album, yet untitled.
