Sat Mar 17 - Darren Hayman ska DJ set at HDIF at The Phoenix
We've got something a little different planned for HDIF at The Phoenix this Saturday. Darren Hayman will be playing his seventh (!) guest DJ spot at HDIF, but this time he'll be setting aside his usual mixture of indie rock and sixties pop for a set of old school ska. He played a few old ska tunes at The Phoenix last year so I asked if fancied doing an entire ska set and he jumped at the chance. He says the emphasis will be firmly on floor fillers and tunes to get your feet moving, and that he'll be throwing a few ska covers of Beatles and Motown classics into the mix too.
