SLOW CLUB
www.slowclubband.com
With their swooning but raucous take on doo-wop and frazzled, fragile representation of soul inspired rock, Slow Club are typical of a band whose members divide their obsessions between Destiny’s Child and Noise-pop. Slow Club’s currency is songwriting which sees romance in the unlikeliest of corners, and applies a lighter, more honed lyrical touch to telling their story. More than anything, Slow Club are mordant Englishness at its best, displaying a restraint and self-deprecating wit even in the darkest of sentiments.
SPACESHIPS ARE COOL
www.spaceshipsarecool.com
Spaceships are cool are sci-fi science pop using theremins, stylophones, casio synths and glockenspiels to make music that sounds like your super nintendo made an LP! Highly recommended for fans of The Beta Band & The Flaming Lips.
WILDEFLOWER
www.wildeflower.co.uk
Wildeflower are a long haired psych-folk group marrying influences from traditional folk artists Nick Drake, Bert Jansch and Fleet Foxes with the more modern, swirling psychedelia of Caribou and Four Tet. Expect 3-part male harmonies, vintage synthesiser exploration and a folk-rock pop sentiment.

GHOSTPOET
www.ghostpoet.co.uk
Ghostpoet made his mark on 2011 with the excellent debut LP “Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam” on Brownswood records. With his series of off-kilter, loopy electronic ditties blessed with his delightfully rambling musings on modern life, the softly-spoken Obaro Emijiwe has received an impressive slew of accolades culminating with his appearance on ‘Later... with Jools Holland’ and nomination for the Mercury Music Prize.
