Neon Highwire

Surrealist geek electro upstarts Neon Highwire are the party destroying sensation that have been named as ones to watch with good reason. They’ve been championed by Tom Robinson of BBC 6Music, had track named track of the year by Sherwood Radio before it was even released and have gained a reputation for their devastating live shows countrywide which have included support slots with Pete & The Pirates, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs & Dragonette to name a few.
The band’s 2009 début EP Luminescence (mastered at The Exchange), described by Rock Sound magazine as “cutting their angular-chops in all the right places, and it shows” was a shining culmination of these various elements. It includes the single Neon Blink, subsequently released on Blue Dove Records with a number of high profile remix b-sides and also featured in a Finnish TV show created by Jere Vainikka. It also features the sensationally catchy Under Moonlight, a favourite of Tom Robinson (BBC) and James Theaker (NME) and with good reason.
Since then the band recorded the song FantasyLand (Christmas In The TerrorZone) as a tongue in cheek collaborative project with a number of other independent British artists which subsequently released as a free download. 2010 has seen a digital single release of the spectacular Bear At The Bus Stop with its incredible accompanying promotional video which on the day of its release caused their channel to become the 45th most viewed musician on Youtube.

The four piece hail from South West London and fuse pounding drums, driving bass and rockin’ guitar riffs with haunting synth melodies and classic rock ‘n’ roll vocals. Formed in 2010 the band are regularly gigging in London and The South East.
In March 2011 Their debut DIY single ‘Against The World’ reached number 3 in the UK’s original unsigned artist singles chart and was in the top 40 for over 3 months, and the follow up ‘M0N£Y’ went straight in to the top 10 and secured the number 1 spot for 3 consecutive weeks.
Having played shows such as Dingwalls in Camden, The HMV Forum amongst others, The Fuegos are high calibre and deserve to have you watch them!

“If you can get past his boyish good looks and his ridiculously hipsterish haircut, you should be able to get behind the fact that he’s currently making some damn good music.” - The 405
“A very full sound for one man and his electronic band. Like he’s got Friendly Fires trapped in his Juno and Foals are trying to free them.” - Gill Miles, Best of MySpace
“an artist who has me very excited indeed… His name is Ben Mercer, but you can call him RightClickSaveAs. I remember the first time I saw Bon Iver play a song live was on Jools Holland a few years ago, and what really struck me (apart from how brilliantly amazing the song was) was how much he fucking meant it when he sang. I love that in a musician. This is a different style of music, but listen to a track like Hype and you get a similar sense of the artist really giving a shit.” - Charlie Sevensevens, Sevensevens
“If we were lazy (and we are) we’d say that if Ellie Goulding can turn folky acoustic songs into lightweight pop chart-toppers, then this chap can take things a whole league higher with his very credible electronic pop.” - The Office Stereo
“RightClickSaveAs is forging a path where he’ll be equally at home on stage or behind a deck, with a full band or playing intimate one-man acoustic sets. Infectious and talented…” - James Cook, Spotisfaction
“You should take a look at him with your eyes…” - Joe Cornish, Adam & Joe BBC6music
