Fri Dec 2 - The Actionettes dance and DJ at HDIF in Brixton
Just a very quick note to say that The Actionettes will be dancing and DJ-ing at HDIF in Brixton on Friday. If you haven't seen The Actionettes - London's premiere all-girl sixties dance troupe - shake their stuff at The Canterbury Arms before, then you're in for a real treat. They'll be DJ-ing from 10.30pm, and dancing at 11.30pm, with yours truly back on the decks again at midnight.
Look! Here's an *amazing* video of The Actionettes doing their Christmas dancing - wearing the very outfits they'll be sporting this Friday! - on Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe.

Haha! I've never seen that before. It's fantastic.
Indie song of the week: "Shelia Take A Bow" by The Smiths. I heard this played on the radio over the weekend as a tribute to the magnificent Shelagh Delaney, and it sounded wonderful. Haven't played it for an age at HDIF, so its time has come again. Throw your homework onto the fire! Come out and find the one you love!
Soul song of the week: "Sinner Not A Saint" by Trini Lopez.
