Yes folks, this is a Pin Ups we've been planning for months and are extremely excited about. The first ever Pin Ups Red Light Night! When we first discussed creating “Glasgow’s Sexiest Ever Night” we were adamant we wanted two men - Frank McAvennie and Aidan Moffat. It seemed an impossible dirty dream, but we're delighted to announce they'll both be DJing for us on 30th September!

Frank McAvennie is the legendary Scotland striker and even more legendary ladies man. Frank has been a hero to many over the years, not least Russell Brand, who has acknowledged Frank as being his boyhood hero: "when I was 11 and slung in a dorm for refusing to conform, Frank McAvennie, avenging archangel in West Ham’s claret and blue, adorned my wall. Frank was my first favourite footballer - prolific, fearless and a dab hand with the dames."

We’re looking forward to Frank getting on the decks to recreate the vibe of Stringfellows circa 1991 (he is prepared for people asking “Where’s the Byrds?”) and he'll be on hand for photos and maybe a wee glass of the pink fizz which will be onsale in our specially constructed “Club Macca”.

Aidan Moffat, meanwhile, is a man we've chased for literally years. Aidan Moffat masks are a regular feature of our Hogmanay Balls and we are delighted that he is going to finally appear at a Pin Ups. Aidan’s recent “Everything’s Getting Older” collaboration with Bill Wells is widely considered as a career best, so what better way for Mr Moffat to continue his highly successful 2011 than a stint at Pin Ups? www.pitchfork.com has described Aidan as “the hungover bard of carnal ennui”, and he sent us a very simple question last week when preparing his playlist: “you’ll want songs about shagging, aye?”

In addition to these special Guest DJs there will be 4 top quality burlesque acts performing throughout the night. Electra Volt (http://twitter.com/electravolt) , Scarlett Flame ( http://www.scarlettflame.co.uk ), Vendetta Vain (http://www.myspace.com/vendettavain) and Tom Delish (http://www.ministryofburlesque.com/members/tom-delish.html) will each be entertaining you with their saucy acts.

To whip things up even further we've got an excellent pair of Glasgow bands playing live before midnight. For Abel (http://soundcloud.com/forabel) and Scunner (http://www.myspace.com/scunnerscotland) who are fronted by the mercurial Paul Puppet. Paul will also be our charismatic master of ceremonies - some of you may remember him as our Circus Ringleader in September 09.

No Red Light Night theme would be complete without a touch of the Amsterdam and we're planning some changes to the Duck for the night. When you arrive we want you to feel like you're entering a dangerously lusty boudoir. There will be plenty of Red Light, and a sexy choice of movie on the screens...

We'll all be dressing up in our sexiest gear for the evening and we encourage you to too - we want to make this a night to remember and Glasgow’s Sexiest Ever Night! We will be piling on the suggestion and sleaze, but be reassured there won't actually be anything too lewd or libidinous occurring - unless any of you lot get carried away! It'll be good clean (ok, downright filthy) fun fun fun.

With all this action to pay for we've had to make it £7 entry on the night, but we do think it'll be well worth it.
