UK star’s rare 2011 appearance aims to help community carnival return to its Roots! A rare chance to “Witness the Fitness” in 2011 as the London-born lyricist will play only selected UK festivals this summer after a long stint in the studio.

Roots Manuva (real name Rodney Smith) is the biggest artist to have headlined Fiesta in the Park, a crucial fundraiser established last year to raise money for the Cowley Road Carnival – a spectacular community celebration which attracts over 30,000 people a year. The carnival has faced funding difficulties in the last three years because of cuts to arts and regeneration funding, and this concert offers a chance for people to vote with their dancing feet by buying a ticket and coming out to party!
