Art Brut return with new album ‘Brilliant Tragic’ released with a comic book of artists interpreting each track . The LP is produced by their collaborator, Black Francis of The Pixies. With some critics already calling it their best in five years, this USA tour send off gig, back in New Cross where it started, supported by two of the next wave. A hot ticket. http://www.artbrut.org.uk/
Edit/Select In yer face musical gang from the artbeat central of London’s lower east side. Their newer wave pop charm and pro-active creation is a growing buzz. “They’re rather good” says Xfm’s John Kennedy. They’ve already supported The Holloways, Motorhead and Happy Mondays. Also played parties for Franz Ferdinand, The Maccabees and Bombay Bicycle Club and started buzzing in Europe.

Anita Maj is another locally connected up and comer. Recently compared to her band sounding like a “21st Century Bangles”, the power pop rock’n’roller has found herself as a hot tip Stateside, and returns from a Hollywood residency for this her first London show this year. “Turning heads on both sides of the Atlantic” (The Pulse) this is a chance to catch her at close range.
