The Royal Wedding! Wills and Kate! Its the Ding-A-Ling in The Spring! Regal Dress Encouraged (twits, toffs, tiaras.... um....see through dresses?....)
Yes folks, the April edition of Pin Up Nights falls nicely this year on the date of the Royal Wedding - and its a Bank Holiday. What better way to squeeze the most fun out of this situation than by joining us at The Flying Duck for the Pin Ups Royal Rumble. Whether you're looking forward to seeing the hunky Wills marry his English Rose Kate, or you can't stand them and just want to take advantage of the Bank Holiday action with a good laugh, a cheeky refreshment and a dance, then Pin Ups is the place to be on the 29th!
Like it or not, we all agreed that the Royal Wedding is going to be impossible to avoid so we may as well get into the spirit of things. We've got some tremendous royal action in store. Just some of the excitement you can expect:
- Guest Dj appearances from PRINCE and FREDDIE MERCURY (QUEEN)!
- Free Royal Masks on the door - Charles, Camilla, Harry, Wills, Kate & More!
- Emotional scenes guaranteed at the Di & Dodi Shrine...
- A Midnight 'Paparazzi swarm'!
- The chance to have your toes sucked by Fergie!
- Words of wisdom from Prince Philip on our LED Scroller
- Enjoy some Fizz at 'Club Harry'
- Bunting! Crowns! Memorabilia!
+ much much more
As well as all that, we've got the Pin Ups DJs playing over 2 rooms, and we've roped in guest DJ Simon Stanley from KINGstanding in Birmingham (who assures us he is 43rd in line to the Throne) and another chap with a suitably aristocratic bearing, Iain R Baillie !! As well as the DJing and disco we've got our usual top notch selection of live bands before midnight. Playing live will be star of November's sold-out Pin Ups, Skinny Villains (http://www.myspace.com/skinnyvillains), and Disco Dave of Garage Indie Attic DJing fame's latest band I'm Sick (http://www.myspace.com/imsickband) - with more to be confirmed.
Regal Dress is encouraged though not essential, its up to you as always (amongst the Pin Ups chaps there's early talk of a Beefeater making an appearance).
It’s never an Annus Horribilis at Pin Up Nights!
Toodlepip,
The Pin Ups Chaps x
