This Saturday we're helping to celebrate ten years of the Buffalo Bar by putting on a special one-off HDIF in the place where it all started for us back in 2002. The last HDIF at the Buffalo Bar was on June 17th, 2005, and to ensure that we capture that back in the day HDIF atmosphere, I'm drawing a line at that exact date. If a song was released after June 17th 2005, then we won't play it. Nothing exists after that date. No Pains, no Allo Darlin', no "Lloyd I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken", no "Life Pursuit" or "Write About Love"...you get the idea! Instead there'll be lots of the following:

I'm going to trawl back through the HDIF blogs for 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, noting down all of the highlights of the nights back then, and then just play them all on Saturday night. It'll be fun!

Guest DJ is Simon Barber of The Chesterfields, who last DJ-ed at HDIF at the Buffalo Bar in 2004. .

Also, please feel free to come and hang out and dance in the little DJ room at the Buffalo Bar. At the last Great Big Kiss, I was in that room by myself pretty much and it felt like the party was happening in another room entirely. At one very early HDIF, we packed everyone into the DJ room and the main bar was empty. It felt more like a house party than a club night. So please do come in and say hello.
