HER NAME IS CALLA AT LEFT BANK LEEDS, 27th March
A very special evening of music at the beautiful Left Bank Leeds; a former church of magnificent and awe-inspiring proportions.
Featuring Her Name is Calla, one of the UK's "most daring, unconventional bands" (Drownedinsound.com) and the ethereal and captivating Birds of Passage (NZ).
-----
Her Name is Calla (www.hernameiscalla.com) are known for their impressive live shows full of emotion, explosions of noise, and passages of the quietest, most gentle harmonies. In the grand setting of Left Bank Leeds, one of West Yorkshire's most impressive venues, expect the rumble of the drums to haunt the eaves, and the stunning vocals of lead singer Tom Morris to beg at the altar.
Birds of Passage (http://soundcloud.com/birdsofpassagemusic) is the project of Alicia Merz, who is travelling all the way from New Zealand to perform. Her crystalline, tender voice, and melodic and mournful electronic sounds weave seamlessly, to create sombre poetry.
