Fri March 4th - "Forever Changes" special at HDIF in Brixton
Just a quick reminder that this Friday we're having a "Forever Changes" special at HDIF in Brixton, where we'll be playing all of the classic Love album over the course of the evening. If you haven't been to one of our album specials before, they tend to be very special nights - we've done the honours with the likes of "Pet Sounds", "The Queen Is Dead", "If You're Feeling Sinister", "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever" and "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea", to name just a few, and now it's the turn of Love's 1967 masterpiece.
Oh, what an embarrassment of riches we have in store for Friday night! "Alone Again Or"! "Between Clark and Hilldale"! "The Red Telephone"! "A House Is Not a Motel"! "You Set The Scene"! The full six minutes fifty six seconds of "You Set The Scene" is no stranger to the HDIF dancefloor, of course, but even so...I'm very much looking forward to getting lost in that one all over again.
Doors open at 9pm, the first selection from "Forever Changes" will be aired at 9.15pm, and then we'll dot the rest of the songs throughout the night, until the final song is played around 2.20am, with doors closing at 2.30am. The songs aren't played in album sequence.
Our guest DJ for the night is Andrew Laidlaw from Lucky Soul. He'll be on from 10.30-midnight.
