The Winter Olympics are a dance-punk rock and roll band from London. Inspired by the DIY dignity of the Dischord label, the literate disco of LCD Soundsystem and the no-nonsense stadium-slaying standards of Def Leppard; they are not your average indie act.

This March, the Winter Olympics are taking over the Wheelbarrow to celebrate the launch of their new single, ‘I Miss the Nineties’ out on Office Rock Recordings on 14 March. The single is a nostalgic nod to good times gone by and a red-eyed warning from indie rock history. Its world-class, Chart Show aping video was created by Passion Pictures (Gorillaz, Of Montreal, those Compare the Meerkats adverts) and has been making rock fans of a certain vintage weep on sight. You can expect further tears of joy, when The Winter Olympics bring their unmissably messy, life-affirming live show to Camden for the first time this year.
