9th Feb @ Catch - Withered Hand, Standard Fare and Tigercats
Hi all...my first show of 2011...should be a good one!
Records Make Great Pets present
WITHERED HAND
(www.myspace.com/witheredhandmusic)
Edinburgh's anti-folk pop-rockers return to London for a band show. Having recently signed to Absolutely Kosher Records in the US and having been invited to play South By South West in March, 2011 looks set to be an amazing year for the band.
“Thank fu*k for Withered Hand” – Malcolm Middleton
STANDARD FARE
(www.myspace.com/standardfare)
Their debut Noyelle Beat is one of my favorite albums of 2010 and Sheffield's Standard Fare are just as great live.
TIGERCATS
(www.myspace.com/tigercatswearinghats)
If Jad Fair had kicked David Byrne out of Talking Heads I imagine the result would have been something along the lines of Tigercats...or maybe not. Anyway...Tigercats is one of my favorite London bands at the moment. Their two 3-track singles on Haircut Records contain some of the catchiest songs released in 2010.
